  • Rods — how quickly the reactor heats up and cools down.
  • Half-life — how long heat lingers after your notes.
  • Shield — the drifting upper octave: turn it down to contain the bite.
  • Flux — reverb that blooms as the reactor heats up.
  • Flow — blend octave weight with the original guitar inside the reactor.
  • Mix — blend the complete reactor with your raw input.
  • The gauge — a genuine needle on a genuine movement. It is not decoration: it answers how hard you play, and the pedal answers it back.
  • Scram switch — drops the rods at once. Provided for your comfort.

Containment is a suggestion.

Two sub octaves below your notes, an octave above, and a thick voice at the original pitch. Fuzz, static and a reverb tail that grows with the heat. Play harder and the reactor gets restless.

RODS sets how quickly heat rises and falls; HALF-LIFE controls how long it lingers. Heat brings in lower octaves, hard clipping, reverb, then the drifting upper octave. SHIELD controls that upper-octave bite, FLUX sets reverb, FLOW balances the octave layers with guitar inside the reactor, and MIX blends the whole effect with your dry input.

As heat rises, hard clipping adds teeth before the drifting upper octave arrives. Hold the footswitch to SCRAM; release and let the reaction recover. No plutonium required.
