City Rat began with a guitar, an audio interface, and the discovery that pushing its input too hard could sound wonderful. We measured that hard-clipping character and built a distortion around it.
Drag the steel knob to add gain. Click or tap it to bypass. The rat’s eye tells you when it’s on, while the pink sky and moon light up with your playing. A simple control, with room to get your hands dirty.
