This isn't a rendered demo — the pedal below is running the actual Ember DSP in your browser. You don't have to take our word for any of this.

  1. POWER ON, then tap a session clip below the pedal — licensed DI guitar takes, straight into Ember — or PLAY CLIP to loop your own audio files, or LIVE INPUT to play through it (headphones on: it's a high-gain pedal).
  2. The big orb is the DRIVE knob — drag it up and down. The small knobs drag the same way (double-click resets, scroll wheel works too).
  3. Click WARM / DRIVE / RAVAGE to switch voices, stomp BOOST for lead mode, and try BYPASS to A/B your dry signal.

Live input: turn your speakers down or use headphones — this is a high-gain pedal and it will feed back through open speakers, exactly like the real thing.

WARM

Start here. A pushed vintage amp with a torn speaker cone — raw, touch-sensitive, just dirty enough around the edges. Roll BITE up and the speaker starts to give out: more sizzle, more sag, a little quiver under the note. The amp is still okay. Mostly.

DRIVE

Everything, more. A second amp stacked on the first: more gain, more sustain, more harmonic mess — and the notes stay clear. Fast runs don't disappear into fuzz, chords don't turn to soup, and single notes hang on long after they should have given up.

RAVAGE

This is where good judgment ends. The fuzz opens up, the compression leans in, the edges come apart. Stomp BOOST and single notes bloom into screaming, feedback-laced sustain — pinch harmonics jump out, and things start making noises you didn't necessarily play. The amps are on fire and the ship is going down.

THE BIG KNOB

That's DRIVE, and you won't need a manual. Low settings add grit and compression; keep turning and the second layer shows up; further still and the whole chain folds into itself. Turn it until something happens.

BITE

The ugly part. Down, Ember stays round and amp-like. Up, the edges tear — more speaker breakup, more rasp, more of that sound where you're not entirely sure the equipment is supposed to be doing that. It is.

BOOST

The last shove. Push a lead out in front, drive RAVAGE into ridiculous sustain, or turn an already questionable amount of gain into an objectively irresponsible one. That's what the footswitch is for.

And when you don't want any of that: it's still a pedal. Turn the knobs.
